Summer Transfer Student

How do I use u.select if I am a student who is enrolled at a college or university who wants to take transfer work over the summer (or other term) to transfer back?

If you'd like to complete a course at another school and transfer it back to the school you are currently enrolled in, the following areas can help you plan:

Course Equivalencies - Search Courses
You can use the Search Coursesarea to enter the course you want to take elsewhere over the summer and see all of the schools that have equivalencies to that course at your school.  If you have a distance restriction (i.e. you don't want to take the course at a school more than 15 miles from home), you can use the distance search to see only those schools with equivalencies within a certain distance of a zip code.

My Courses
You can use My Courses to add those planned summer classes to make sure the equivalency turns into an applicable course once transferred back into your program. Courses can be added manually, using a course list, or with some institutions by importing (downloading) course history.

Transfer Planning
Creating a Plan provides the unofficial evaluation of your courses (from My Courses) and places them in the program report so that you know where and how they APPLY to the program you want to enter.

You can use this tool to plan all of the summers you would like to take classes elsewhere. Make sure you talk with an advisor at your current institution when planning- especially far in advance.

School Information Links
Once you've decided where to take classes, you can utilize information provided in the School Information Links area to find more information about admissions or the school's transfer department.
