I have established TA rules for a school, but they're not displaying in the Equivalencies area.
If equivalencies for a specific school are not displaying within your course equivalencies the issue is likely within you Transfer Articulation system.
The following solutions pertain to DARwin/u.achieve Transfer Articulation only.
Hidden Tables?
Date Ranges Don't Match?
No State Value?
Do you have the IREF table, TA table, or individual rule hidden for that school?
Within DARwin/u.achieve you have the ability to hide TA tables and specific rules so that they will not display in u.select.
To check to see if you have things hidden:
- Open the version of DARwin/u.achieve where your u.select data is stored.
- Check the IREF Table:
- Click the Institution icon
- Find the Institution and open the specific IREF table
- Check the Status field on the General Tab. The two options are:
- ' ' - Normal Processing - this means that your IREF table is not hidden from u.select
- H - Hide all Articulations from Institution - which means u.select will not be able to see your equivalencies for this table.
- If the status is set to H, switch it to Normal Processing.
- Save
- Check the TA Table:
- Click the Transfer icon
- Find the Institution and open the specific TA table
- There is a Hide checkbox under the FYT and LYT fields located on the right hand side
- If this is checked, it will hide the TA rules from u.select
- Un-check the Hide box
- Save
- Check the specific rule if an individual rule is missing from u.select
- Click the Transfer icon
- Find the Institution and open the specific TA table
- Locate the specific TA rule using the tree view on the left
- There is a Status field located on the Segment Line:
- If this field is blank the rule is not hidden from u.select
- If there is an H in this field, then the rule will not display in u.select
- Remove the H from the Status field
- Save
Do your IREF table and TA table date ranges match?
For your TA rules to display in u.select the FYT and LYT values on your IREF and TA tables must match exactly.
Examples:
- Will not display in u.select:
FYT LYT IREF Table 000000 999999 TA Table 200108 999999
- Will display in u.select:
FYT LYT IREF Table 200108 999999 TA Table 200108 999999
You will need to change the FYT and/or LYT on either your IREF or TA table so that those values match.
Remember:
- If you need to change a FYT on your IREF or TA table you will have to clone the table in order to edit the FYT field.
- Once you've done this you should either delete the original table or change the LYT so that it won't conflict with the new table.
- You may have multiple tables for a single school.
- If you have two TA tables for one school you will need two IREF tables.
- You need a corresponding IREF table with the exact FYT and LYT date range for each TA table you have for a school.
- To do this either:
- Clone the existing IREF table for that school and make the necessary changes - or -
- Create a new IREF for that school with the appropriate information
- To do this either:
Do you have a State Value assigned for that school?
For your equivalencies to display in the Region search method on both the Browse and Search Equivalencies pages, you must identify the State where the Source School is located.
To do this:
- Open the version of DARwin/u.achieve where your u.select data is stored.
- Check the IREF Table:
- Click the Institution icon
- Find the Institution and open the specific IREF table
- In the area on the left you should see an Envelope icon between the options of Source ID and Grade Definition, click to view (if no Envelope icon is available, see below)
- In the Address potion, check to see if the two letter State abbreviation is present.
- If it is not present, enter the appropriate abbreviation: the State abbrev., SE for Standardized Exams, CA for Canadian Schools or XX for International Schools.
- Save
If the Envelope icon wasn't available:
- While your IREF table is still open, go to the menu bar and select Edit
- Choose Add Address
- Follow the steps listed above
