Important URLs you will want to setup as you get started

The following URLs are important to setup before you display your school to students and advisors. A complete list of available URLs can be found here.

Essential URLs
URL Name Description Logo Size (w) x (h)
Institution Logo URL This logo will be shown when a user logs in with your school ID or when any user selects your school in the Programs and Plan areas of u.select.  The logo also is displayed at the top of Plans run for your school. 350 x 100
Navigation Logo URL This logo will be displayed on the navigation bar for your school in u.select. This URL will replace the photo of the student on the left side of the screen. 180 x 180
Contact Email Enter an email address that questions about transfer to your school can be sent to.  This email address should be one that is checked and responded to often.  It could be a generic u.select email address that goes to several people on campus or the email or an administrator or advisor who should address u.select questions for your school.  (Do NOT include mailto: at the beginning.)   
Non-u.select Course URL Enter the link to your school's online course catalog.  If you have this link populated, your school will show up in the View School's Catalog area to provide u.select users more information about courses offered at your school.  
School Information URLs

If added in u.select, these URLs are shown to a user when your school is selected in the School Information Links area.  When a user selects the link in u.select, a new window will open with URL entered.

Admissions Info URL Redirects the user to your school's online admissions information.
Admissions Online Application URL Enter the URL for your school's online admissions application.
Financial Aid Info URL Enter the URL for financial aid information at your school.
Financial Aid URL Enter the URL for you school's financial aid application.
Registration Info URL Enter the URL to registration information at your school.
Registration URL Enter the URL to your school's registration webpage.
Transfer Info URL Redirects the user to additional transfer information available for your school.
External URLs
URL Name Description
CEG Override URL This URL should be entered if you are using Non-Local-DARwin course equivalencies.  This includes schools using the external DARwin course equivalency application and Non-DARwin schools.  Your school's technical support will most likely give you the URL to enter in this area if it is needed. 
External Degree Audit URL This should be entered if you are using the External DARwin application or if you are not using the DARwin Degree Audit.  Your school's technical support will most likely give you the URL to enter in this area if it is needed.
SIS Import Remote URL This should be entered if you have set up the application to allow students to import course work directly from your student information system. Your school's technical support will most likely give you the URL to enter in this area if it is needed.

How do I use Manage URLs

Add a URL

To add a new URL:

  • Click the Add button within the URL area
  • Choose the URL Description from the drop down to add (a list of possible URLs and descriptions are displayed on the page)
  • Enter the link address in the URL Locator field
  • Click the Update button

Edit a URL

To edit a URL:

  • click the Edit icon next to the URL to edit
  • Edit the necessary information
  • Click Update

Delete a URL

To delete a URL:

  • Check the Delete checkbox next to the appropriate URL
  • Click the Delete button
