How do I Manage Student Plans

Managing Student Plans

Once you have either selected a student from your list of advisees or you have searched for a student and clicked on them, you will see a list of plans that have been created either for or by the student. If no plans exist, you can click on the "Manage (student name)'s Plans" button at the bottom of the page and create a plan for them.

You also have the ability to take action on an existing plan that has either been created by or created for the student. This can also be done on the student's Manage Plans page (see above).

The actions that can be taken for each plan are the following and are found in the "Action" column of the table that lists the plans for the student:

Plan View

This is the "single" Plan view. That is, it does not display the roadmap that was used to build the plan. This is a good way of manually building a plan or just viewing a plan without having to look at the roadmap to see what is completed.

Rename

This will allow you to change the name of a plan from that which the student created. Clicking on this option will provide a text box in which you can enter the new name for a plan.

Copy a plan

This will allow you to copy a student's plan. Clicking on this option will provide a text box in which you can enter a name for the copy of a plan. This is a good method if you wish to make adjustments to a plan without altering the original plan.

Deleting a Plan

This option will allow you to delete plans from a student's list of plans. Note, you cannot delete a declared plan unless you first select another plan to be the declared plan.
